Greetings and salutations lovely peeps

We’ve had a solar eclipse and a super full moon in Scorpio this April. So you may have felt a change in energy, or wanted to hunker down at home for a spell. Perhaps, like me you are finding change happening in your life since these events.

One change I’m making now is that I have decided to take a spring break in May. So, I am going to take a break from all groups for this time. We will begin the Grounding and Healing Meditation, the Reiki share and the Power of Intention group again in June at the usual times – second, third and fourth Mondays of the month.

The still point is one of my favourite CranioSacral techniques. I often do it on myself before I get up in the morning. In therapy, a still point, more often than not, happens automatically during a treatment. This technique (if that’s the right word for it) shares its roots in osteopathy and brings the patient to a place of absolute calm. This is a neurological response, which is especially relaxing for the connective tissue throughout the body and shifts the central nervous system from its usual state of alertness to one of calmness. This is a place where the body’s self healing mechanism can do what it needs to do. Holding the head, the feet or anywhere on the body actually, and waiting for the body to still, is so beneficial for anxiety and stress and can also help to lower fever.

“All of us are given a certain amount of crap to compost.

Get it out of you so that you can mix it into rich soil and create something new.

Learn from it, write a poem expressing it,

and dance or cry it out of you to heal yourself.

Create something better from the crap so that it doesn’t define your life

or make you sick...”

― Christiane Northrup, Goddesses Never Age:

The Secret Prescription for Radiance, Vitality, and Well-Being

What I’ve been watching this month. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtrjY4XmTb0

I watched an interview with Heather Ensworth and Veda Austin around Veda’s new book The Living Language of Water, and what Water teaches us about Consciousness, Dreams and Spirituality.

Can we be more conscious of our actions around air and water which are vital for life on earth? I often ask myself what are we, what am I, leaving my next generations?

In my practice I see people with sore backs, necks and shoulders who spend their day/week sitting at a desk or are managing an old injury. I regularly recommend exercise to help shift things and also talk about what can be done to change how their sitting, standing, walking, how to incorporate more and appropriate movement into the day. Are we aware of any loss of mobility as we age or get busy during the day?

How many of us relate to Jim Rohn’s experience? Making changes, one small (habit) step at a time.

“Motivation gets you started. HABIT keeps you going” Jim Rohn. “I have no problem with the initial motivation, but remaining consistent tends to be the hardest part. The reason I feel I’ve let myself down is because I actually set myself up for failure from the outset. I expected to be able to sustain a huge shift change, just because I’d decided to, rather than building up gradually until the new version was created by simple, regular habits.”
