Greetings and salutations lovely peeps
We had a sudden death in our extended family recently as well as news of another imminent death (which in the space of writing this newsletter and sending it out has happened). This has reminded me not to put off doing things till tomorrow or next month, to count my blessings, to let go of hurts and trauma, to be in the moment. We never know how many breaths have been allotted to us.
I have a huge apology to make. I totally forgot the Grounding and Healing Meditation on the 15th. For me it’s been a month of getting dates and times mixed up. It’s also been a month of seeing family face to face and it looks like August will follow suit.
Full moon in Capricorn on 21st. What was/is your full moon harvest? For me it’s endings, releasing the past and new beginnings and healings.

Did you know that CST can help club foot?
Some babies are born with club feet. I know because I was one of them. Clubfoot and the lesser condition of pigeon toes can happen as a result of distorted or constricted space in the womb. Although the foot or entire limb appears twisted in utero the bones appear to be normal. This is not a serious problem and can easily be corrected. I know this too because my mother massaged my feet from birth till they straightened. I am grateful for my mother’s instinct and knowledge which meant no uncomfortable, restricting cast or harsh treatment. If my mother had known about biotensegrity or CST she would have been able to do so much more - like unwind and realign the muscles and muscle fibres from toes to cranial membranes. As we now know everything is connected via connective tissue (ligaments, tendons, fascia, meninges) from toes, knees, hips and shoulders. And even at my age, my fascia will respond to unwinding. This is something I’m always talking about this connection from foot to head when someone comes in with back, neck, shoulder or hip pain – biotensegrity.
Tensegrity, a word coined by Buckminster Fuller, American architect who created the geodesic dome, is a form of geometry and engineering where the integrity of the structure depends on the balance of the tension members. Stephen Levin coined the term biotensegrity as it relates to biology and tension and integrity.
Tom Meyers book Anatomy Trains explains tensegrity in our bodies. “Our body is just such a structure – the structural and movement stability of the body depends on the balance of the soft tissues. We have long assumed that the skeleton was a strong ‘frame’ on its own, and that the muscles ‘hang’ off the skeleton. The reality is that the bones ‘float’ in the soft-tissues, with their position determined by the tensional balance in the fascia.”
Stretching and strengthening exercises are important. It’s important to do these with alignment in mind. I help people to do this for themselves between treatments giving them a lifetime’s technique
for releasing restrictions of the entire leg, from the sacrum to the toes and from the hips to the shoulders.
I will be taking a two week break in August. So there will be no On-line Grounding and Healing Meditation, but I will be back on-line in September.
