September 2023 Newsletter

Greetings and salutations lovely peeps

It feels to me like we’re rushing to the end of September and the last super full-moon of the year already. It’s been an out of routine month for me as we’ve taken a wee break in Scotland and our Airbnb filled up. Also, a small group of us have got together to work regularly with intention with water and other important things for us, our community and, as a consequence, the wider community.

Daydream, imagine, and reflect. It’s the source of infinite creativity.

~Deepak Chopra

This month I read a short article about a rural village in Perthshire that lost its bus service. The residents took the initiative and clubbed together to set up their own bus service with 10 volunteers and 3 full-time drivers.

Also locals in St. Ives bought a former NHS hospital which was for sale and now offer a variety of services and support to their community.

Following this theme, while on holiday we came across several village community shops and one community run camp site. In my opinion, this is the way to heal and regenerate our communities and our country.

With regard to our own health. Things/life is moving so quickly that I often find time slips away before I can give myself time to process my emotions/perceptions/ my shadow side. Give yourself time to really think, to really feel, to bring awareness to your bodies, to those parts not fully present. It isn’t always easy to go into the unknown, to invite yourself to see in the dark and trust the ground beneath your feet and the air around you.

This is the time to reclaim the power and the mystery of the night and the liminal places of dusk and dawn.

There are various ways to do this.

  • One is meditation. Did anyone join the Heart Coherence 30 day Challenge or Heart Math? I love the Heart Math vision - “A kinder, heart-centered world where we care for one another and live harmoniously in peace” A vision, I think, more and more people are aligning with.

  • Another is therapy. CranioSacral therapy allows the body to relax, release tension and pain, to connect heart and mind to become aware of what’s happening in the body and notice where we are holding trauma, anger and so on. CST also gives us an opportunity to deal with or manage these symptoms.

What have I been watching this month. We made a rare visit to the movies recently to watch “Sound of Freedom”. Not a pretty film - a film based on true events of one man’s mission to rescue trafficked children. I did not know that there are more people in slavery today than there were when slavery was legal. And I know there are more people in the world today and it’s still a shocking statistic.

I have also been listening to and watching podcasts on clearing/healing/regenerating water. Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpcciUS-2ZU&t=1s Heather Ensworth’s interview with Randy Hatton.

I absolutely love Louie Schwartzberg’s vision:

We’re going to pollinate the world with beauty and fertilize the world with love.

~Louie Schwartzberg

I subscribe to Spaceweather.com and discovered this information in my inbox this week.

A perigree harvest moon: Before the days of electric lights, farmers relied on the light of the full Harvest Moon to gather their ripening crops after sunset. That gave photographer Jordi Coy an idea realized in this photo-sequence of today's Harvest Moon rising over Morón de la Frontera in Seville, Spain.

On Saturday 30th September from 11am to 1pm, King Street Studios will have a ‘Meet the Artists’ at the Cornerstone Cafe in Sulyard Street, Lancaster. The exhibition will still be available to view over the month of October.
